HSV today announced a partnership with Love Me Love You, a not-for-profit organisation that strives to empower and build resilience in people of all walks of life so that they may overcome the challenges of mental health issues and other life hardships.

Established in 2013 by Lance Picioane, a former AFL player who, himself, suffered from depression and anxiety throughout his football career, Love Me Love You provides interactive and engaging programs and community initiatives that address the views and stigmas surrounding mental health.

Said HSV’s General Manager – Marketing, Damon Paull, “Through our partnership with Love Me Love You, our aim is to support Lance and his team in bringing greater awareness to the mental health issues facing many Australians and, importantly, give them the tools to help them take control of their mental wellbeing and live happier, more fulfilling lives".

Delivered by trained facilitators, the content of Love Me Love You programs are created in collaboration with mental health professionals, ensuring they are of the highest quality and that all content is evidenced-based. The programs are very personally and honestly delivered, offering a highly impactful experience that provides participants with coping mechanisms including support networks and mindfulness and wellbeing conversations, that can be used during times of mental health challenges.

“We look forward to making a difference on this journey with HSV. This type of partnership will connect our cause to an extended community that is dominated by males who, historically, are also known to not acknowledge their challenges and ask for support”, said Love Me Love You founder, Lance Picioane. “We hope to make a difference through our programs, resources and support systems, so that we can rid our society of this suicide epidemic and help the HSV community, and their extended network, to navigate the daily mental health battles that many face”, he said.
