Holden Special Vehicles has launched the final event for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the performance and luxury car company, with the release of ’20 years of the greatest HSVs from 1988-2008,’ to co-incide with start of production for the new seven litre 'supercar', the HSV W427.

The series of twelve Collector Cars will be available over the counter at Coles Express from July 23 and Coles, Kmart and Target from August 22, commemorating significant models in the history of the high performance car company.

The collection begins with the very first Holden Special Vehicle, the Group A SS VL Commodore which went on sale in 1988 and the final car is the W427, with a range of unique road and race cars from the last 20 years.

Highlights include a replica of the 1990 Bathurst winning race car driven by Allan Grice and Win Percy, the ‘yellow peril’ 1996 VS GTS-R, the ‘world’s fastest ute’ – a VZ Maloo driven by the Holden Racing Team’s Mark Skaife in 2006 and Garth Tander’s 2007 V8 Supercar winning Toll HSV Dealer Team car.

Over 800,000 collector cars are expected to be distributed across Australia; with one lucky purchaser taking home more than just a commemorative HSV. As part of the promotion, each collector car comes with a key tag containing a unique code. Customers can SMS the code for a chance to win a brand new HSV ClubSport R8.

Single collector cars retail for A$2.50, while the ’Collector’s Case’ containing all twelve cars presented in an aluminium case, will retail for A$39.99.

Further information on the Collector Car program and promotion can be found at: www.tpf.com.au/hsvcarpromotion.
