The Malibu – HSV Just Ride series kicked off last weekend with scores of people turning out to admire the latest offerings from Malibu Boats and Holden Special Vehicles.

The National Water Sports Centre at Carrum in Victoria played host for a day full of fun and sunshine where Malibu and HSV owners were treated to hospitality, demo’s and entertainment courtesy of Regal Marine and Booran HSV.

HSV had the boating fraternity excited, showing off their new 2006 Maloo R8, powered by their exclusive 6.0 litre LS2 power plant. Also on display was their limited edition GTO Coupe LE - one of only 100 to be built - and their ever popular Clubsport sedan.

The ultra sexy Maloo R8 in Turismo Blue was coupled to a colour matched Wakesetter and became the centre piece of the display.

These two premium performance machine manufactures will tour the country over the next two months giving current and potential customers the chance to look, touch, feel and “Ride” in their latest offerings.

Malibu complemented the high performance showcase with 5 different models on the water including their spectacular new 2006 Wakesetter VLX which generated keen interest to the masses with the awesome new “Power Wedge”. This revolutionary new innovation allows the driver to “tune wakes on the fly”, adjusting variable down force by means of an “inverted hydrofoil” ranging from 45 to 545 Kg. The new LCD screen will also monitor in excess of 500 Kg of sub floor ballast. The Power Wedge is available as an option on any 06 model.

The tour now moves to Adelaide/Murray Bridge on Feb 26th and then onto NSW Pt Macquarie on March 4th and 5th and Brisbane on April 25th and 26th.
